We are currently looking for a Traction Battery Component Engineer for one of our automotive clients in the Midlands.
The role
Traction battery component Engineer Working as part of the Hybrid Electrical Components team the chosen candidate will be responsible for: Capturing and document HEV and PHEV traction battery requirements and DVM. Supports the creation of company standards for traction batteries. Supports development of component strategy for PHEV Develop quality and safety documentations documentations. Work with team leader and suppliers to ensure delivery of components to programme milestones.
Essential skills and qualifications
Strong appreciation of hybrid vehicle architectures. Experience in component engineering for automotive applcation with electrical background. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Experience in robust component engineering development.
Extensive experience in electrical component development either with an OEM or automotive component supplier.
Degree level qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering or closely related subject.
Desirable skills and qualifications
Strong communication skills. Strong organisational skills. A high level of diligence and personal integrity. Ability to work within a team. Sound judgement.
HEV, EV component development experience.
