The Company:
Our client is one of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the Uk. Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

The Role:
Our client requires suitably qualified and experienced Civil or Structural Design Engineers to carry out the following on a key nuclear project:

To provide technical input into the delivery of projects from inception to handover on time and cost.
To lead small teams of less senior Engineers and Technicians in the technical design of projects and the delivery of calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
To liaise with members of other technical disciplines within the design team.
To support client management through involvement in bidding and winning projects.
To assist is the successful delivery of projects.
Liaise with and support other projects within the Cumbria office, and also across the wider UK home and international markets.

Long term work.
Travel to other company sites may be necessary.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline (Masters level preferred).
A good level of previous engineering design experience is essential. This should include analysis of structures and detail design of elements in all the major materials.
Good standard of written English and the ability to write clear technical reports.
You will be driven to meet targets, and have a high level of commercial awareness and will have demonstrated the ability to work within budget and programme.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of dynamic and seismic design would be beneficial although not essential.
Experience of highly regulated UK industries would be beneficial plus an understanding of relevant legislative standards.
