The Company:Is a leading Automotive manufacturer and is currently experiencing an upturn in production with demand increasing globally.
The Role:To devise, select and engineer systems and components for Bentley products, which meet all company requirements. To provide expert theoretical and practical detail knowledge of the latest developments in relevant engine/powertrain systems.
Responsible for developing and maintaining technical knowledge and capability.
Responsible for defining and planning of own work for approval by senior engineer.
Responsible for design of components/systems, using the company CAD systems, which, when introduced into production, are safe, legal and otherwise fit for purpose. Respresenting the best compromise between company and customer needs.
Accountable for timely delivery of new product designs, appropriately validated to meet start of production, and for reporting progress to functional manager and at formal project reviews.
Accountable for timely parts release for all prototype build and production phases, and for timely delivery of new product designs required to achieve on time vehicle launch to quality and cost.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:Appropriate engineering degree
Extensive experience of CAD engine systems design (Catia V5)
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:3 years work experience in engine/powertrain design environment.
