NES Fircroft are delighted to represent an Oil & Gas giant on one of their major FPSO projects to look for their next Inspection Leader! 

The role is based in Paris or Pau for a 12 month renewable contract. After this contract the role will be executed from the FPSO premises in China 2025. This role offers a competitive, daily rate, paid through either a portage or a European-registered Limited Company. 



For this role, the service holder shall:
  • Review and approve requests for Hull, Mooring, Process, Utilities and Subsea packages technical proposals regarding Mechanics activities for:
    • FPSO contract
    • Subsea contracts
    • O&M contract
  • For Inspection discipline / equipments:
    • Ensure inspectability of production sites within efficient costs. Analyse failure modes, review inspection plans … in accordance with PAS study.
    • Ensure fitness for purpose and integrity of all facilities (i.e. SECE with associated performance standard and MRT, …), according to The Client and international standards and government regulations.
    • Ensure all necessary data are available for maintenance and operation. Participate in the commissioning of the monitoring systems, perform the Baseline and collect the Technical Records
    • Work with The Client's Inspection department to ensure all of the above are consistent with the affiliate’s policies and methods, and work to realize synergies from a logistics, spares and human resources point of view. Prepare hand-over of activities to the Inspection department.


ACTIVITIES:
  • HSE & Inspection
    • Adopt & demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to HSEQ rules & requirements, Company Ethics & “Code of Conduct” policy.
    • Ensures that conformity and certification of facilities is ensured.
    • Validate strategy and optimization of inspection plans.
    • Follows Safety Critical Elements implementation.
 
  • Inspection
    • Ensure implementation of operation and Inspection strategy based on FO objectives.
    • Approve the Inspection philosophy and strategy (Inspection plans, outsourcing), monitor their implementation and advise on their effectiveness. Shall point the observed problems in the design out and propose alternative solutions
    • Ensure Inspection engineering is meeting availability and operating costs. Ensure the use of CMIMS onshore and on Sites to provide an accurate Inspection management system.
    • Manage technical expertise provided to sites in Inspection discipline to solve inspection issues.
    • Develop periodic reporting activities of the Inspection Discipline and follow them
    • Review and comment Engineering documents related to Inspection or Integrity discipline.
    • Participate when requested to gap analysis between CTRs design and Company Specifications in liaison with TEC
    • Contribute to the definition of the Commissioning strategy.
    • Optimise OPEX
    • Evaluate CTR personnel.
    • Act as technical discipline focal point on specific project/work scopes and contracts : ensure
      interfaces with Affiliate Entities when required & liaise with specialists Discipline Headquarters
      (TEC, OPS)

DELIVERABLES:

In the context of teamwork and in the field of operations; the Service holder shall
  • Review CONTRACTOR Inspection management system (FL, plan and procedures).
  • Review and comment Contract technical need for the Inspection team to implement on time in line with planning.
  • Participate and update REX and recommendation for future contract.
  • Participate to CONTRACTOR GROUP audits.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Advance Experience in Inspection and management, oil production knowledge.
  • Reliability, autonomy, analytical, organizational capacity and leadership
  • Very good knowledge of the Inspection systems in offshore industry.
  • Good knowledge of GS and CR group
  • Languages of the service: English mandatory, French is a +
