The Company:Our client is an Australian company specialising in Project Management Services, Consultancy and Engineering Services to the resources and infrastructure industries.
The Role:The opportunity for a knowledged and experienced Health & Safety Manager has arisen with a company who specialise in providing Engineering Services on major mining projects based in Queensland. The incumbent will help with the management of systems and processes throughout the company ensuring that all details meet the requirements of appropriate Australian and International standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaise with Client HSE management personnel to ensure requirements and expectations are met
- Lead, counsel, and assist with delivery of HSE systems and requirements at senior level, as well as system changes and updates as required
- Coordinate significant incident investigations using TapRoot analysis at management level
- Manage, audit, coordinate contractor pre-qualifications, OSH Management Plans and
- Assist with staffing requirements in conjunction with Project Managers including performance reviews and professional development requirements
Essential Skills / Qualifications:- Knowledge of State and National legislation & codes of practice
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS or relevant industry experience equivalent
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:- Cert 4 in Training & Assessment
- Professional membership of relevant industry institution
