The Company:The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.
The Role:- To lead a team of up to 20 engineers in the design, configuration, testing and commissioning of the integrated control systems.
- To ensure that the engineered solution is compliant with company practices and procedures.
- To identify scope changes to the project manager and to assist in detailing the impact of such changes in terms of cost and schedule.
- To interface technically with the client to optimise the system design.
- To co-ordinate the resolution of technical queries.
- Management of the engineering resources required to deliver the assigned work such that the project is completed timely and cost effectively.
- To develop engineering estimates against specifications for bids received from potential clients.
- To assist with technical sales presentations, bid estimation & clarifications.
- To mentor team members in the company's procedures and standards ensuring that common solutions and practices are implemented.
- To identify opportunities to improved standards and procedures that saves costs or time.

- Develop and mentor skills in other team members whilst monitoring and managing their progress.
- Proven experience in the design, configuration, testing and commissioning of integrated control systems in the oil and gas or pharmaceutical industries.
- Experienced at working on both national and international projects.
- Experienced at reporting into planning systems such as Microsoft project and primavera.
- Experienced at leading a team of engineers.
- Familiar with current national and international engineering standards.
- Fluent written & spoken English.
