The Role:The Mechanical Design Engineer will support the design team with product prototype design activities, testing and approving of prototypes and investigating design related problems
Essential duties and responsibilities:-
- Design and documentation of one-off mechanical assemblies using Autodesk software (Inventor 2012).
- Manufacturing support on technical issues.
- Creation of assembly/test documentation.
- Creation of bills and materials, parts lists.
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet agreed deadlines.
- Liaise with suppliers to organize component manufacture.
- Carry out assembly and test of designs.
The position will be based in Warrington but may invlove the need to work off site if required
Essential Skills / Qualifications:Degree or HND in a mechanical discipline with relevant experience.
Experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment.
Organisation and time management skills.
Candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, but also sensitive to team dynamics/goals.
Knowledge of designing components for subsea applications.
Familiarity/competency with Microsoft tools.
Written and oral communication skills.
Experience with specialised mechanical systems.
Have a good understanding of HSE regulations.
