The Company:Our Client, an Iron Ore Joint Venture, is a partnership between global business leaders; working with a major Iron Ore Operator on its multi-billion dollar growth plans in Western Australia.
The Role:Our Client's Port team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for immediate start.
In this position you will provide competent technical support in relation to design and engineering services for mechanical and piping engineering projects including earthworks, roads, dams, drainage, water supply and buildings.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
§ Ensure all mechanical engineering/material handling project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices.
§ Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all mechanical/material handling engineering project work and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
§ Ensure mechanical/material handling engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
§ Provide high level technical support for all mechanical engineering project work as required.
§ Prepare documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around mechanical engineering projects.
§ Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met.
§ Provide input to the electrical/controls engineering budget
§ Participate in technical reviews of all procurement and construction contract packages.
§ Progress monitoring and reporting.
§ Experience on EPCM and an understanding of the culture and goals
