The Company:Our client is a major engineering contractor currently providing EPC | PMC project services into a range of sectors to include oil and gas, nuclear and petrochemicals. Following a recent re-organisation we are now looking to appoint Planning Manager to be based at the headquarters in the UK to oversee project controls activities across a range of offices globally.
The Role:The successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
• Review of project controls plans, procedures and regular schedule & progress reports.
• Supervise internal planners and manage the delivery of functional
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, estimates, project kick off meetings and other Senior Management meetings as required
• Provide accurate high level and strategic reports on group planning activities
• Maintain, manage and improve corporate systems, procedures and utilisation of software and best practice
• Participate in Corporate and other Project Audits as required.
• Regular travel and interface across different office location both in the UK and overseas
Essential Skills / Qualifications:We are keen to receive application for this post from candidates with the following skills and experience:
• Significant experience within project controls and ideally currently working as a Planning Manager for a contractor or EPC
• Previous experience working on large scale of mega projects within oil and gas or petrochemicals
• Ability to undertake a functional and corporate job simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills
• Expert user of industry project controls software to include Primavera and Earned Value analysis
