The Role:The role
Currently looking for a Programme Manager / Head of Project Management to take on an exciting new opportunity to join a leading supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world's natural resources, nuclear, clean energy, water and environmental sectors. You will build on your experience in an organisation that recognises top performance in one of the world's most challenging and business environments.
As a Programme Manager / Head of Project Management your main duties will involve:
• You’ll provide leadership for the Project Management and Project Controls Functions within the Region
• You’ll support Continuous Improvement, Regional and Functional Strategic objectives, and to assist with the development of both the Region and the Function, so that we can become more successful in the Region.
• Whilst providing a robust review of our projects and to implement Functional Assurance activities to verify that projects are being executed in the AMEC Way.
• Demonstrate HSSE Leadership and compliance with the AMEC Safety Rules, through behaviour and actions
• You’ll be a key player of the application of the Beyond Zero principles
• Maintaining and improving the HSSE culture within the Project Management Function
• Assisting the GR Director of Project Management
• You’ll assist with bids and winning work
• Attendance at Regional CRB’s (Commercial Review Boards) to verify that these are robust and consider project execution issues
• Monitor the performance of the projects within the Region
Essential Skills / Qualifications:As a Programme Manager / Head of Project Management you will have experience:
• You’ll have a proven track record of delivery in Oil & Gas projects
• Experience in managing large complex multi-discipline projects or programs
• International Project execution experience would be an advantage
• Strong Commercial and Contractual awareness
• Previous experience of developing relationships with Clients, External Stakeholders and Subcontractors
