The Role:Fircroft have been asked to source a Project Director to join our clients team in Brisbane. Overseeing the Joint Venture, the Project Director will lead the design, construction and upgrade of coal handling preparation plants in the Australian Coal Industry.

The Project Director will lead, plan, direct and control the construction of a major project to ensure completion against the design requirements. Working for the EPC company you will ensure time and cost objectives are met to achieve profit.
Typically, the incumbent will manage all aspects of project delivery from site and team set up to handover. Whilst this is a Brisbane based role you will be required to travel to site.
Responsibilities:
• Regularly review and monitor project costs and take corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur
• Lead and direct risk issues including culture, analysis, workshops, management and crisis response capability
• Demonstrate a commitment to HSE and the project values
• Ensure all activities are compliant with applicable standards and regulations
Essential Skills / Qualifications:• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, or equivalent years experience
• Extensive experience in a similar leadership role
• Experience will cover project management across major / complex works within the resources sector, with the value exceeding $500mn
• Record of establishing and maintaining integrated JVs
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:• Large alliance project experience
