The Company:Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
The Role:Position Description:
- Project Engineer (Current Model Quality) will assist the Quality Quarterback in the control and resolution of current model warranty issues for a variety of suspension components.
- The main focus of this role will be to define the scope of the issue, identifiy root cause and lead technical resolution.
- This will require strong project management and effective use of relationships both internally and externally (suppliers) to achieve a robust and timely outcome.
- Reporting of progress will also be required to senior management as well as ensuring all drawing releases are are completed effectively.
Skills Required:
- Strong project management skills.
- Effective communication at all levels - Robust problem definition and resolution - Ability to drive through multiple tasks to completion"
Skills Preferred:
- Six Sigma Problem Solving - Knowledge of the companies systems preferred (AIMS, WERS, AWS, etc) - Advanced MS Excel user (Pivot tables, etc)
Experience Required:
- OEM Experience - Supplier relationships/management - Management of multiple Quality improvement tasks - Problem solving (Six Sigma preferred)
Education Required:
- Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical or Automotive)
