The Company:Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
The Role:Position Description:
- Air induction does not have module engineers or component engineers to support programme delivery, the PMST is therefore responsible for all elements of the design and integration outside the department to achive the programme deliverables.
This includes the following:
- Maintain accurate programme status and report out to management at the appropriate reviews.
- Control: Cost, Weight, Quality and Timing of the components within the system for each phase of build through to production.
- Control supplier inputs, whether system or component related.
- Ensure that the appropriate processes are implemented to support the programme. ie. GPDS, EFDVS, DFMEA, DVP & ESOW.
- Release the components via the WERS releasing system.
- Maintain an issue management tracker. Manage resolution of issues via the AIMS system.
- Ensure that test and development programmes (both the company and supplier based) meet the performance objectives and customer expectations.
Skills Required:
- Self motivated and adaptable to changing demands.
- Working knowledge of GPDS Knowledge and experience of Power Train Systems (AIS prefered) Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering components or systems from concept to production.
- Demonstrable experience of managing suppliers.
- Demonstrable experience and working knowledge of Failure Mode Avoidance processes.
- Good working knowledge of the company IT systems WERS, eFDVS, AIMS.
- Current Driving Licence
Skills Preferred:
- Engineering Degree
Experience Required:
-Management of Programme deliverables including functional and cost targets in line with gateway deliverables
Education Required:
- Engineering Degree prefered
Additional Information :
Air Induction department expected to move from Whitley to Gaydon at the end of 2012.
