Job Title: Project/MOC Planner
Location: Whitecourt/Fox Creek area OR Grande Prairie, AB – candidates must be local or willing to relocate to one of the areas.
Contract Length: 6 months to start, with potential for fulltime employment
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week
Project/MOC Planner Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed work packages for both regulated and critical equipment primarily within SAP Plant Maintenance, to support the Operations Engineering Team; maintain planned MOC orders to be available to the Scheduler to provide 7-day frozen and 14-day execution schedules;
  • Provide work order plans for Contracted Services, that ensure timely identification of required JHAs/FLHA’s to reduce risk, consideration of potential introduction of defects during work execution, and critical skill set and resources required;
  • Using the Identify/Plan/Schedule/Execute/Close/Analyze (IPSECA) model to develop and maintain procedures and job plans that adhere to the Facility Integrity and PMM processes and certifications;
  • Provide technical input and support relating to maintenance procedures and job plans that adhere to Maintenance Management (PMM) processes, practices and systems;
  • Participate in periodic internal compliance reviews and/or audit activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented, primarily within SAP Plant Maintenance;
  • Complete vendor prequalification, verification of approved status and assessment of qualifications and participate in the on-going vendor assessments and evaluations;
  • Participate in site spare parts identification to support the maintenance plan;
  • Ensure maintenance, inspection and repair activities are planned in accordance to the regulatory requirement;
  • Maintain Project deliverables and records within the MOC system and SAP;
  • Work with Operations Engineering, Scheduling, Operations and Maintenance teams to plan, schedule and execute MOC projects safely and effectively;
  • Close out completed MOC and workorder tasks to maintain current status;
  • Attend MOC review meetings;
  • Present updates periodically to stakeholders;
  • Review of Facility Integrity and PMM documentation and records to ensure conformance with the requirements, business processes, certifications and KPIs; and
  • Distribute execution schedules and pertinent work orders to Contracted Services, that ensure timely identification of required JHAs/FLHA’s to reduce risk, consideration of potential introduction of defects during work execution, and critical skill set and resources required;
  • Provide technical input and support relating to MOC and projects that adhere to Maintenance Management (PMM) processes, practices and systems;
  • Compile monthly and quarterly maintenance and reliability performance reports and distribute to the required stakeholders;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize schedule generation and work execution, by organizing and combining jobs and activities to minimize equipment downtime;
  • Participate in periodic internal compliance reviews and/or audit activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented, primarily within SAP Plant Maintenance;
  • Complete vendor prequalification, verification of approved status and assessment of qualifications and participate in the on-going vendor assessments and evaluations;
  • Ensure maintenance, inspection and repair activities are scheduled/executed in accordance to the regulatory requirement; and
  • Utilize effective communication skills as well work collaboratively with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • SAP PM experience
  • Minimum 5 years Planning on Maintenance and Engineering projects in O&G industry
  • MOC experience required
  • Local to Whitecourt/Fox Creek or Grande Prairie – candidates must be local or willing to relocate, as there is plans for this position to turn into a permanent position
