The Company:Our client is a global consultancy providing cost and project management services and to assist in the increasing capability at the London office we are now looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager to support a number of clients in the nuclear, renewable energy and energy sectors.
The Role:We are seeking to recruit a SENIOR COMMERCIAL MANAGER within our Industry team to support commissions in the nuclear new build sector. This business sector involves working on high value, strategically important projects which are high profile within the client’s organisation. By the very nature of the size of the projects you will be expected to manage commercial activities for the client and form part of a team approach to project delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic individual with experience in the nuclear or heavy engineering sector.
• Liaise with the Client’s procurement team and provide commercial support during tender negotiations when required
• Manage a team of Cost Engineers / Quantity Surveyors to deliver a comprehensive cost and commercial service
• Manage contractual claims and provide guidance and advice to the Client to minimise the impact of claims
• Provide commercial support and advice for a major Client
• Commercially manage single or multiple contracts
• Prepare accurate commercial reports for senior management
• Implement and maintain contract change procedures
• Association of Cost Engineers or RICS membership - or qualified by experience
• Conversant in all aspects of commercial management
• Broad understanding of the Nuclear or Heavy Engineering Sector
• Broad understanding of risk analysis
• Ability to advise clients on commercial and contractual matters
• Ability to prepare, monitor and forecast against budgets during design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning phases of a project
• Ability to prepare financial and commercial reports
• Ability to prepare Anticipated Final Cost reports for client review
