Reporting to: Exploration & Development Manager
Work Location: Alabang, Muntinlupa City

In 2022, the Client took over as operator of the project's gas field, which fuels 20% of Luzon’s power generation, and has continued the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the project's asset. They also has ambitious growth plans to further explore and develop the Philippines’ hydrocarbon resources. We are the most active explorer in the Philippines and are in the advanced stage of planning to drill two deepwater Exploration wells and acquire/reprocess state-of-the-art seismic data within the next two years.

Purpose of the role
- Evaluate and screen farm-in opportunities across multiple Service Contracts, including data room visits, technical evaluation (volumetrics and risks), notional development concepts and investment proposals
- Develop new play concepts and depositional models based upon offset well data, seismic attributes and local/global analogues
- Coordinate maturation of Exploration prospects and the preparation of Decision Quality based DRB submissions at Credibility, Value & Invest Decision Gates
- Deliver drill-ready opportunities within the Well Delivery process
- Coach & Mentor of 2-3 junior Exploration staff
Main Responsibilities
- Accountable for quality of subsurface technical work and timely & effective technical assurance
- Responsible for timely delivery of drill ready prospects and investment proposals
- Management of integrated in-house and consultant team effectiveness
As part of the team/larger community
- Shape teamwork, culture and behaviour such that safety of operations is in the teams’ hearts and minds
- Manage contractor relationships and behaviours in line with company’s values
- Represent during JV Technical Committee Meetings and shareholder engagements
Dimensions:
- Number of Staff: Member of an integrated team of 10-15 technical staff.
- Financial accountability: Coordination of delivery from technical consultants (contract value USD 2-4mln)
- External Relationships: JV Partners, Regulator
Minimum Requirements
• Prior Technical Experience (10+ years)
- Play Based Exploration, preferably with SE Asia experience
- Track record of Exploration prospect maturation (Identify, Evaluate to Execute)
- Multi-disciplinary collaboration with other PE disciplines, wells, front-end engineering & economics
- Deepwater exploration drilling operations
- 3D Seismic Quantitative Interpretation and Static Modelling
- Geological modelling of deepwater clastic depositional environments and carbonates
• Good leadership skills
- Experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams and a strong team player
- Ability to influence without direct accountability for staff or activities
• Effective communicator
- Track record of transparent communication/engagement to decision makers (including shareholders)
- Ability to coach/mentor younger staff
• Commercial Skills
- Exploration Portfolio Analysis and Decision Making
- Commercial Negotiations for new Business Development
