The Company:
Our Client, an Iron Ore Joint Venture, is a partnership between global business leaders; working with a major Iron Ore Operator on its multi-billion dollar growth plans in Western Australia.

The Role:
Our Client's Study team is seeking an experienced Planner for an immediate start. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of schedules that are fully comprehensive, resource loaded, logic is correct, and area interrelationships are addressed. The Planner is responsible for timely, quality updates and analysis, and that deviations from plan are communicated to project management.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

§ Undertake project planning and schedule development, maintenance and monitoring for all phases of the Programme, including engineering, procurement, construction and start-up of facilities.
§ Monitor and review key performance indicators to benchmark individual & collective project performance
§ Provide recommendations for planning and scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project control
§ Plan, organize and supervise schedule resource loading and levelling. Integrate appropriate staffing requirements for each discipline relative to the overall project needs.
§ Make recommendation on quantity and staffing levels required to execute the project.
§ Facilitate obtaining required schedule information by all disciplines. Works with relevant departments to ensure an understanding of the project scope and schedule.
§ Analyse and study problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Monitor and report on critical path and schedule performance of project.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
§ Ability to assess project risks and understand associated contingencies
§ Ability to read and review data sheets and engineering drawings
§ Thorough knowledge of components of project organisation
§ Sound knowledge of cost forecasting
§ Ability to assess scope of work for cost control purposes
§ Ability to analyse excursions from the norm
§ Ability to undertake option analysis for competing designs and work-arounds
§ Understanding of and ability to follow Company policies and procedures
§ Strong organisational skills
§ Understanding HSE regulations and standards
§ Understanding EPCM culture and goals
