The Role:Reporting directly to the Accommodation Project Engineer the duties/responsibilities will include :
• Coordination of interfaces with module contractor for discipline design elements as directed.
• Monitoring the site contractor (including visitors to site) to ensure compliance with the project QA and HSEQ requirements and that at no time general safety is compromised.
• Assist in review of contractor documents and activities as requested.
• Monitoring of fabrication and fit out activities ensuring project specifications and BOD are complied with.
• Assisting QA engineer including review of contractors ITPs and witnessing activities as required during fabrication, painting, fit out and commissioning.
• Acting as a focal point for all Nexen visiting contractors and personnel to site ensuring all necessary inductions and site PPE requirements are complied with.
• Assist the monitoring / measurement of overall progress, coordinating responses to all EQs, interfacing with all Nexen 3rd parties in particular Aker.
• Assist in the Management of Change including recording, measurement and maintaining change records.
• Co ordination / identifying support required from BMP discipline team
• Monitoring all material control issues with regard to 3rd parties, free issue items, module contractor items to be shipped offshore separately from modules.
• Liaison with contractor/ Nexen / Aker construction to ensure all offshore installation and fit out activities understood / incorporated in Aker and module contractor scopes and work packs.
• Assisting co ordination of Commissioning phase with Nexen commissioning team in particular facilitating compliance with GOC completions system.
• Witnessing module break down, weighing, voyage protection, preservation and load out.
• There may also be an opportunity to assist in the offshore construction management during the installation and fit out of the modules.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:HNC preferred in suitable discipline subject or equivalent experience.
Current survival certificate.
General construction management, review of multi discipline design and fabrication documents, 'on-site' module fabrication and fit-out co-ordination, review of materials, documents and drawings, review of installation schedules and procedures, co-ordination of fabrication and engineering contractor interface, progress measurement, liaison with statutory authorities and quality surveillance.
Experience in the design and fabrication of mini modules to be constructed to form a single module offshore would be advantageous.
Previous experience of GOC / completions database utilised in commissioning.
