The Company:Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
The Role:Position is to support the compilation, planning, procurement & delivery of Engineering test and development properties & components, to support the delivery of the programme through its validation phases. This will include (but is not limited to):
- Compilation of Bill of Material with engineers/test engineers/suppliers
- Cross checking and updating as req'd - including construction of Digibuck build package for BOM validation
- Developing / assisting in the development of unique cost down / high level assembly specifications & part number creation.
- Developing cost status, correlating BOM & test EFDVS schedule
-Raising orders for Prototype parts through GPIRS and progressing parts orders
-Supporting Logistics & build of test bodies / rigs for end customers
-Attending meetings to modify existing orders / catch back issues
Essential Skills / Qualifications:MS office skills, particularly Excel. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Demonstrable ability to be self-motivated and pro-active, with the ability to work independently from direct supervision. Hold a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of J&LR facilities. Successful history of project management delivery. Ideally educated to a minimum of degree level in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical subject.
