The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and Gas operator and has assets through out the world.

The Role:
The Wells Team Leader is accountable for the execution and delivery of Wells activities in the field. The post holder would initially be responsible for the safe and efficient start up and assurance process for drilling units, interacting with the Audit and Contracts teams. Once rig start ups had been completed the successful candidate would then be responsible to ensure the delivery of the high quality well planning activities, programs and offshore execution in compliance with all relevant Operational Management System.


- Start up of Rig Operations.
- Ensure full compliance with Operational Management Systems.
- Ensure rig audits are conducted and actions successfully closed out in the required time frames.
- Ensure crew competence to ensure safe and efficient start up and continuation of drilling programmes.
- Lead the operations wells team to execute the well plans and procedures on the rigs, delivering the well objectives within budget, on schedule and with out incident.
- Provides leadership to drive compliance with all corporate policies, including OMS and Drilling and Wells Operating Policy, during well operations and execution.
- Oversee rig and third party contractual relationships to deliver well Wells objectives.
- Coach and mentor Engineering teams to ensure appropriate development and career progression.
- Manage continuous performance improvement in well operations through technical limit and knowledge management application.
- Manage day-to-day activities on the rig and provides advise, support and guidance to Well Site Leaders.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree or relevant industry experience.
- Considerable experience in Wells operations, with proven experience in managing multiple Wells operations.
- Demonstrable leadership in operational HSE.
- Experienced manager of third party contractors.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Demonstrable capabilities of leading and coaching less experienced personnel.
- Demonstrable leadership of safety programs for drilling operations and participate fully in developing HSE culture.
- A degree in engineering and Well Control Certification (IADC, IWCF, etc.....).
- Experience of offshore operational drilling on mobile units.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft applications and morning reporting/database systems (i.e. OpenWells).
