Fircroft Kazakhstan Enjoys Continued Growth and Success
Fircroft Kazakhstan, part of global recruitment services provider - Fircroft Group, announces their continued expansion in the Tengiz region of the central Asian country with the opening of a new office and their highest contractor and employee figures to date.
From an initial two recruitment offices in Atyrau & Aksai, Fircroft’s operations in Kazakhstan have gone from strength to strength. What was a 100 strong payroll of contract placements in 2004 is now fast approaching 600, with over half consisting of Kazakh nationals. Fircroft now employs over 50 direct employees located in 6 regional offices.
Fircroft Country Manager for Kazakhstan, Christophe Menger, is based in the regional head office in Atyrau. Having witnessed the country’s developments first-hand, Christophe commented:
“We have seen more and more Kazakh people taking senior management positions with foreign companies in Kazakhstan. We have also been able to organise a free of charge English language course with the Labour Department in Kazakhstan – a scheme which is in its fourth year.”
Ever increasing demand for Kazakh nationals is coupled with sustained growth in opportunities for experienced expatriates in Kazakhstan. This year alone has seen Fircroft place over 100 Kazakh nationals, and there is much to suggest industry is reaping the benefit from a fine balance of talent. Christophe is keen to highlight Fircroft’s stance on local opportunities:
“With Fircroft having such a significant presence in Kazakhstan, it is important that we make our opportunities available to local people, and I am confident we will continue to do that.”
As a country, Kazakhstan has enjoyed unprecedented economic growth over the last decade, thanks largely to rich oil and gas reserves. On top of the strength of the oil and gas industry, increased investment in the country’s infrastructure, a booming property market and increased development of other industries has driven prosperity to the Kazakh population.
With more than 200 oil fields, Kazakhstan’s oil boom is set to peak over the next ten years, establishing the nation as one of the world’s top five oil exporters.
