A paper plane like no other you've ever seen

Imagine what the result would be if you spent nine years building an exceptionally precise model of a Boeing 777 plane from cut-up paper folders.
The plane is detailed that it features minute details such as bolt, hydraulic pipes and hinges.
Well imagine no more, because 25-year old Luca Iaconi-Stewart has done just that.

And the result is absolutely incredible.

The plane is so detailed that it includes parts as minute as bolts, hydraulic pipes and hinges. It even includes such details as seatback entertainment systems, food carts and the crew rest module.
The model is genuinely hand made too using craft blades, tweezers and glue.
It’s genuinely hand made too. Each part of the plane began as a serious of computer drawings  which were then printed out on paper folders. Iaconi-Stewart then used a precision craft blade to painstakingly cut out each segment before manipulating them with tweezers and gluing them together.
The model's engines are exact replicas of the GE90-115B jet engines.
Engineering giant GE spoke to Iaconi-Stewart last year to find out more about the project as the model features exact replicas of the firm’s GE90-115B jet engines- the most powerful jet engines ever built. As you can see from the video below he did an astounding job of replicating the engines as accurately as possible- taking one month to design and four months to assemble the engines alone.

When asked what he planned to do next Iaconi-Stewart said: “Somehow I doubt it’s the last plane I’ll build, but I’m no rush to start another project, at least not as a hobby.” After spending 9 years on this model alone, we don’t blame him for not wanting to start another project just yet!
