Audi takes the TT on safari

With recent reports indicating that Audi is considering ending production of its TT sports car, it seems that the German manufacturer has decided to give it an unusual send-off; by taking it on safari!

A team of company trainees in Germany have built a one-off Audi TT Safari, customised for off road use.

The Audi TT Safari has been lifted and fitted with off-road tires, a new front grille, huge fender flares, yellow rally lights and an awesome matte and gloss livery as well as two spare tyres fitted where the rear window should be- to give it that authentic Dakar feel no doubt.

A look inside the car reveals that the yellow and black livery has been incorporated on the seats, steering wheel and other interior details. Also, the front windshield has been tinted yellow, perhaps to reduce sun glare when you’re careening through the desert at top speed?

With the imminent demise of the production Audi TT, it seems unlikely we’ll ever see a Safari TT on the road, but how cool would a TT Allroad Quattro be?!?
