Thursday 23rd June 2016 sees the celebration of National Women in Engineering Day; an international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus on the amazing career opportunities available to young women in this industry.

In the run-up to the day Fircroft will be revealing the results of our latest piece of research: Are there enough opportunities for Women in the Oil & Gas industry?

In this, the first in a series of blog posts about the research, we take a look at what impact a woman’s marital status has upon their career progression. In conducting the research we spoke to 500 women involved in the Oil & Gas industry. The results of their feedback is illustrated below:
