Equinor secures drilling permit for 2 new North Sea wells

Equinor has been granted drilling permits by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for two wells in the Norwegian North Sea. 

Equinor have several operations ongoing in the North Sea

The company plan to drill wells 35/11-24 S and A in production licence 248 C. located approximately 7km west of the Fram field. This will be a wildcat well and an appraisal well. 

Both will be drilled from the West Hercules drilling rig after the conclusion of drilling wildcat well 30/5-2 in production licence 878. 

Equinor operate the licence with a 35% ownership. The remaining shares go to Petoro (40%) and Wellesley Petroleum (25%).
