You are probably reading this article on your mobile or tablet right now. Given that smartphone ownership is at its highest ever level and still rising, it’s not surprising that the majority of internet browsing is now done ‘on-the-go’ via these devices.

Of course no smartphone is complete without a range of useful or entertaining apps. App downloads are similarly growing at a rapid rate. In 2015 a staggering 25 billion apps were downloaded from the Apple Store. You may already have a number of favourite apps on your phone that you use to pass the time. Perhaps Angry Birds, Pokemon Go or even the classic, Tetris? But what about professional, business focused apps? Apps are already supporting numerous industries such as construction and transport. Companies within these industries are using apps to help streamline processes as well as managing safety protocols and allowing for easy data entry.

How about the oil and gas industry? The oil and gas industry is benefiting from the use of apps to increase productivity, improve planning processes and revolutionise strategy development.

We’ve shortlisted the best apps for you to download to keep you up to date on industry news, rig locations, training records, market activity and much more.
