We wanted a chance to share with you all the different ways which you can use digital technology to enhance your job search. But why should you take advantage digital and use it for finding your next job?

Our contractors are, by the nature of their roles, geographically mobile and the various digital channels now available mean that you can browse through and apply for roles at your leisure all over the globe, no matter where you are in the world and no matter what the time difference is.

When searching for a job in any industry, it is always best to go directly to recruiters’ websites. For example, on, all of our jobs are uploaded onto the site on a daily basis so you can apply at all hours of the day or night.

Signing up for email job alerts is one of the best ways to keep on top of the most up to date opportunities available for you by having relevant roles sent directly to your inbox. Fircroft’s job alerts by email can be set up to match your specifications, such as sector, location and keywords.

Mobile technology means you can now apply for jobs on the go; wherever you are, whether onshore or offshore. Our mobile site allows all registered candidates to browse and apply for all our jobs on both your tablet and mobile; derestricting the job search from only a desktop or laptop computer.

No list outlining the benefits of digital tools would be complete without mentioning social media. By making sure your LinkedIn profile is kept complete and updated, you can use it as an enhanced online CV, acting as a magnet for recruiters to find you. Thereby, taking away some of the hard work involved in a job search conducted by more traditional methods.
