Danish equipment manufacturer Vestas has set new wind energy installation record.

The company is the world’s first turbine manufacturer to install more than 10GW of wind energy in a single year. Vestas’ wind energy capacity connected with the grid increased from 1.5GW in 2018 to 11.3GW in 2019. 50% of this capacity was made in America.
Shashi Barla, a principal analyst with Wood Mackenzie, said: “The top five turbine OEMs – Vestas, SGRE, GE, Goldwind and Envision – increased their combined market share by 10% from two years ago, capturing 68% of global capacity.”
