Long-dreamed about by automotive engineers, the magic 300mph barrier has finally been crossed! The World Record was achieved by Bugatti with a pre-production version of the Chiron, setting a new TUV-certified speed record of 304.773mph (490.484km/h).

Watch this incredible feat in the video below showing Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace taking the Chiron to the limit at the Ehra-Lesslen test track in Lower Saxony, Germany.
