Video of the week: Watch a 25,000 tonne platform being decommissioned

Situated north east of the Shetland Islands, the Brent oil and gas field has supplied reliable energy to the UK since its discovery in 1971. Since then it has been served by four large platforms – Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. Now, after many years of faithful service, these platforms are reaching the end of their lifecycles. In this week’s EngineeringPro video of the week you can gain an inside view of the decommissioning of the 25,000 tonne Brent Bravo platform.
