We take our hats off to this truck driver!

Everyone has seen the countless onshore wind turbines that dot the British landscape. They stand in clusters, their blades whirring lazily as they harvest energy from the skies.

The sight of these turbines may conjure multiple thoughts in your head. You might think of the homes and businesses that they are powering, or of the maintenance people that scale their dizzying heights.

But if you’re anything like me, you might not have thought about how the turbines actually got there.

Which leads us onto this incredible video of a truck driver making a sharp right turn on a narrow Highland road in Scotland…

Remarkable video shows how a 200ft lorry turns sharp right on a narrow Highland road from SWD Media on Vimeo.

With turbine blades reaching lengths of as much as 200 feet, it takes a seriously skilled driver to transport them to where they need to go.

So, the next time that you see a wind turbine in-situ, think of the amount of work and effort that went into getting it there.
