The Company:
Our Client is a major contractor providing consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world's energy, power and process industries. They are the leading Contracting Company to the Oil and Gas Industry in the UK.

The Role:
To coordinate the inspection of goods at the suppliers from issue of purchase order through to issue of release note.

Key aims & objectives:
To ensure the supplied goods meet the requirements of the requisition, applicable specifications, statuary and EU requirements.
To coordinate agreed inspections as per inspection and test plans in a timely manner.
Ensure certification requirements are met.

Prime Responsibilities:
Assist the Project QA Engineers in the pre-assessment of suppliers.
Identify those purchase orders requiring client inspection and ensure that they are complete with all the necessary attachments and endorsements in order that they may be allocated to the Field Inspectors via an inspection assignment package.
Review Suppliers' Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans and ensure they relate to inspection and test requirement for supplied equipment.
Mark up the Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans with the required client witness and hold points.
Provide guidance to Field Inspectors in meeting inspection requirements, and supplement their activities by his own attendance and/or by arranging attendance at suppliers' works by Engineering, Project, Client or other staff as circumstances may demand.
Check inspection reports and release notes from Field Inspectors and initiate any action required.
Ensure field inspector have the latest revisions of applicable documentation / specifications.
Ensure that office inspection files for the Project are properly set up and maintained.
To make up and assign inspection assignment packages to the third party inspection agency.
To arrange and chair pre-inspection meeting at the suppliers works.
Distribution of inspection reports and close.
Issue of inspection look ahead’s.
Input / up date inspection database.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role.
