We are currently looking for an Application Support Analyst to be based from our Head Office in Warrington.
The focus of this role is to assist with developing, documenting, implementing and managing applications and solutions utilised by Fircroft. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of services to internal customers and key stakeholders. When new applications and solutions are required, the Application Support Analyst will support the Project Management Office, ensuring the application is fit for purpose and configured appropriately for the company before assisting with the deployment.

Once an application has been implemented, the Application Support Analyst will be required to create handover documentation, provide training to the Service Desk Analysts and continue to offer specialist support, acting as an escalation point for these solutions.

The Application Support Analyst will also be required to provide Service Desk cover when required.

Responsibilities
* Manage and resolve tickets assigned to Application Support, taking ownership of issues, following up the status of problems and communicating progress with the requester in a timely manner
* Assist in the planning and support of release and change management activities into production environments
* Responsible for application administration and maintenance tasks
* Become a subject matter expert on supported systems, applications and services
* Provide training, knowledge transfer and ongoing support for the Service Desk Analysts
* Create and distribute system documentation, both technical and end-user
* Support the Project Management Office with new system implementations, system updates and improvement changes. Provide initial solution support until handed over to the Service Desk
* Accurately record issues/faults discovered with solutions and investigate solutions or escalate to third party if necessary
* Perform 3rd line support and small change project work for applications and other solutions
* Perform configuration changes, owning the day-to-day relationship with 3rd party portal and solution providers
* When necessary, provide cover for the Service Desk team, which may include tasks outside of normal duties

Key Attributes and Experience
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain this when working under pressure
* First-rate analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good time management, priority management and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well in a team as well as unsupervised
* Results driven, comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and working to tight deadlines
* Able to develop and maintain a strong and proactive approach to information and knowledge acquisition
* Flexible and adaptable to meet business demands
* Able to demonstrate ownership & accountability of assigned work tasks
