We are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst to be based from our Warrington Head Office.

The role of Business Analyst is to analyse current operational problems or new ideas. To use industry standard tools and techniques to produce impact assessments, requirements documents, business process mapping and procedures to support continuous improvement and the development of quality technical enhancements. We support Fircroft globally and develop our business architecture in line with its Target Operating Model, strategy and vision.

Responsibilities


* Perform up-front analysis on projects to determine feasibility and business benefit weighted by time, cost and resource to inform and influence the decision making, planning and prioritisation process.
* Collaborate with project stakeholders at all levels to understand current problems and to capture, define and agree business requirements and process workflows .
* Identify and articulate options for potential solutions that meet the requirements which are logical, feasible and cost effective.
* Liaise with both IT and Business functions to ensure that proposed solutions are consistent with the overall IT and Business strategy.
* Produce detailed and accurate functional specification documentation to capture customer requirements and help define conceptual application design options for development (containing but not limited to Use Cases/User Journeys, workflow/data schemas, report definitions etc.)
* Obtain sign-off of requirements, solutions and recommendations from business stakeholders via documentation, presentations, workshops or one-to-ones.
* Perform handover activities to project personnel, e.g. developers and testers, to ensure that the requirements and proposed designs are clearly understood.
* To provide appropriate end user support for UAT, Procedures and other implementation tasks to the agreed level for each given project.
* Work with project managers to provide accurate estimates for the development and tracking of project plans and risk management.

* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Ability to multi task and learn new concepts.
* Able to problem solve and maintain strategic perspective.
* Organised and good time management.
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes.
* Understanding of formal analysis and modelling techniques.
* Experience in performing Business Analysis across a variety of business areas.
* Knowledge of the IT marketplace & trends and how IT can be exploited to provide commercial benefits.
* Understanding of data migration and data integration projects.
