The Role:

The role will consist of the following, but not limited too:

* Support regions to setting up new country entities
* Assist in closure of entities
* Management of external lawyers
* Responsibility for ensuring overseas subsidiaries are appropriately registered

* Review global client contracts and frameworks
* Review/draft amendments to standard form contracts
* Arrange execution and storage of all client contracts
* Contract variations, novation, assignment
* Maintain appropriate standard documentation
* Manage contractual disputes/issues

* Manage and advise the business on small scale disputes and resolution of the same

* Assisting Head of Legal in all areas of group compliance, including the UK Bribery Act, the Data Protection Act
* Provide advice on legislative changes that have an impact on group companies (UK and overseas)

* Working with the Group General Counsel to maintain the UK insurance portfolio, ensure appropriate renewals are in place at appropriate times
* Assisting to ensure appropriate insurance policies are in place for overseas offices
* Fielding insurance queries from across the business on a global basis

Overseas Offices/Subsidiaries:
* Work with the new office opening teams to ensure all relevant steps are taken.

* Provide ad-hoc legal advice as required on a range of commercial legal issues

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Essential = Law degree minimum 2:2 or Graduate Diploma in Law or equivalent
* Desirable = Legal Practice Course or equivalent
* Must have excellent communication and writing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
* Requires ability to understand potentially complex legal, commercial and technical awareness and business metrics
* Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills
* Negotiation experience
* Excellent interpersonal skills
