The Role:
As part of the Service delivery team within the Shared Service Centre the purpose of this role is to accurately input timesheets and expense data to Fircroft systems for payroll processing. You will also be required to provide excellent customer service when responding to queries from contractors and other Fircroft Departments.

Job Role Duties

* Completely and accurately updating payroll standing data as requested including reconciliations and input checks as required
* Accurately processing 100% of both manual and automated timesheet records into the payroll system within agreed SLA's and payroll timetables, achieving a first time error rate of below 2% - and assist other team members to do the same.
* Maintain an average weekly query volume of 5 or less per week across the whole team (based on 4 weeks rolling calculation)
* Undertake payroll reconciliation and chase up missing timesheets prior to payroll closing
* Deliver excellent customer service to both Contractors and other Fircroft departments in the processing of timesheets and expenses and dealing with related queries
* Perform input checks of data entered by other members of the team and other quality assurance checks and reconciliations as required
* Prepare and validate the payroll output file for distribution to selected payroll provider (may include on line up load to providers systems as appropriate)
* Produce and send Payslips / remittances as appropriate along with other Statutory returns or other documentation, as appropriate
* Validate and upload data files returned from payroll providers, identifying and resolving any queries
* Ensure the accurate recording of and follow up on all payment errors to ensure 100% recovery either in full or by repayment plan.
* Produce ad hoc reports and communications to contractors as required
* Ensuring personal compliance with All Fircroft policies and procedures
* Help out on other Regions within the team where required
* Any other activity or additional hours outside the UK office core hours deemed relevant to the shared Service Centre responsibilities as and when requested.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant Skills (D = Desirable, E = Essential)
* Excellent customer services skills
* Sound communications skills and good team player
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Aptitude for detail
* Proficiency at MS Office, inc. Excel

Relevant Qualifications
* Educated to a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade A-C (including Maths and English) essential (E)
* A Level or equivalent education preferred (D)

Relevant Experience
* Previous experience in a data input or payroll role in a fast paced environment an advantage (D)
* Previous experience in a target driven team an advantage (D)
* Previous experience of Microsoft office essential (E)
* Good Excel skills (E)
* Knowledge of the Dynamics system, would be an advantage (D)
