The Role:
This role will see the post holder support for installed radiological protection instruments (IRPI) Non Destructive Assay and spectroscopy equipment. The work will involve remote technical support and carrying out customer visits to complete installation, commissioning, calibration, routine testing and repairs.

This position will be home based, in the region of Cheshire to enable time critical attendance to our customers in that area but will principally be working on the Capenhurst site. However, the post is a UK wide Field Based position. Travel to various sites (UK and occasionally abroad) will be required.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

* Field Service, Technical Support, troubleshooting to support our customers,
* Inspection, calibration, test and repair of nuclear related electronic assemblies.
* Liaise at all levels and promote the services of the company's service & support activities.
* Maintain accurate records where necessary to comply with the requirements of the company's QHSE registrations.

Our Client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of instrumentation for a diverse range of applications in the nuclear industry.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum ONC Electronics, or equivalent qualification is required.
* SC Clearance

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of radiation measurement techniques and instruments, including gamma spectroscopy an advantage but training will be provided.
* Experience of working on nuclear licensed sites would be an advantage.
