The Role:
To manage all civil engineering works including but not limited to groundworks, excavations, roadworks, drainage, and concrete installations

Accountabilities
*Ensure compliance with all management processes and procedures.
*Full involvement with the civil engineering strategy and installation concept.
*Manage the sub-contract package and the sub-contractor(s).
*Ensure that any all civil engineering works are compliant with current legislation in respect of planning and implementation.
*Ensure that all concrete installations are designed and installed in line with requirements.
*Ensure that the sub-contractor programme is aligned with the programme and that the activities are planned accordingly.
*Ensure that production programmes are regularly monitored for progress and report.
*Ensure that sub-contractor safe systems of work, and any associated permits are produced in a timely fashion and that all requirements are met appropriately.
*Ensure that the civil engineering strategy is developed in line with commercial and customer requirements.
*Ensure the engineering process from start to finish is compliant with current legislation, standards and codes of practice.
*Ensure the quality of the work is designed and implemented in line with the requirements.

Responsibilities

In discharging these responsibilities they are responsible for:
*Providing a professional, comprehensive and sustainable management service to and the client.
*All work to be undertaken in line with the Health And Safety At Work Act, CDM Regulations 2015, local authority standards, and any other relevant legislation.
*Initiate the preparation and approval of all required safe systems of work, excavation permits, pre-pour inspections, ITPs and any other required documentation to be submitted for client and / or customer reviews or approval. ◦Coordination of sub-contractor programmes to be integrated into the programme.
◦Working with the Construction Manager, Engineering Integration Manager and Technical leads to foster a culture of delivery.

*Establishing, maintaining and communicating the production programme and budgetary information.
*Implementing all procedures and processes throughout the course of the work as required

The Company:
Our client has been established for over 20 years locally and is focused on delivering design solutions to the nuclear industry, specialising in the design of mechanical handling plant and equipment, the design and installation of plant control systems and the provision of support to plant safety reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
*Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role
*Experience with all types of civil engineering
*Experience of composite concrete floors
*Experience of a nuclear decommissioning project
*Effective communication within the team and with sub-contractors
*Fully understand CDM Regulations 2015 relevant to all aspects of civil engineering
*PC Literate
*Suitable vocational qualification(s)
*CSCS Card
