The Role:
Role:

* Performing operations relating to the specialist capabilities of the Laboratory.
* Ensuring that equipment maintenance and routine calibrations are performed in line with procedure, quality and time.
* Ensuring record keeping and quality standards are in compliance with local work instructions and procedures.
* Receipt of instrument consignments including unpacking and condition checking.
* Despatch of instruments including the compilation and packaging of instruments and paperwork.
* Decontamination of instruments.
* Minor repairs to instrumentation.
* Monitoring the availability of Laboratory consumables.
* To be available and assist with regulatory authority inspections.
* General duties throughout all aspects of the calibration service.
* Clear communication to other departments as required to ensure any issues are highlighted and resolved.
* To assist in maintaining and developing all aspects of the quality management system.
* Provide training to other members of the team when required.
* To comply with all company policies and procedures.
* To carry out all duties whilst maintaining good Health & Safety practice with due care to yourself and others.
* To follow a code of conduct conducive to a professional environment.
* Assisting in areas outside routine operation, for example, in the workshop or within other departments.

The Company:
Our client has been established for over 20 years locally and is focused on delivering design solutions to the nuclear industry, specialising in the design of mechanical handling plant and equipment, the design and installation of plant control systems and the provision of support to plant safety reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A proven track record of being accurate and organised.
* A high level of attention to detail in relation to successfully completing analytical tasks.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
* Good organisational skills and time management skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
* Experience of working within the framework of a rigorous quality and safety management system.
* Ability to multitask a variety of tasks.
* Fully competent in Microsoft Office software (proficient in MS Word, Excel and Access).
