The Role:
As HR Country Manager you will work in partnership with the business to provide specialist support for key internal clients across multiple sites. You will have extensive experience and knowledge of strategic HR in a complex organisation together with your ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels. By influencing transformational change, you will drive continuous improvement culture. You will be required to coach, mentor and influence Senior Managers to deliver best practice and share responsibility for the goals and target delivery.

You will focus on the development of the people strategy in line with business needs and align with internal and external factors. You will ensure quality delivery of the people plan through your direct reports. You must be Commercially astute and have awareness of potential business risks with the capability to provide mitigation solutions. With the support of the company's Centres of Excellence you will identify and prepare plans for key/high potential employees, rotating best talent across different functions to support the business strategy. The role requires you to be politically savvy and have a good understanding of key business financials. In conjunction with Senior Management you will improve cost efficiency and clarify accountabilities to deliver great customer service.


* Accountable for the operational delivery of all HR activities within the Country.
* Forms part of the HR Country Management team within the region
* Manage, coach and develop the HR team.
* Use professional insight to identify people related opportunities, priorities and potential risks with managers; provide meaningful people related KPI's (or metrics) to managers
* Oversee data and trends and develop interventions to address any issues
* Influence and challenge Senior Management to ensure solutions are applied in line with company policies and procedures
* Oversee all employee relations cases, ensuring quality assurance, and risks are mitigated (Employment Tribunals)
* Ensure that effective Resourcing Plans are in place to ensure the business is professionally resourced with the correct numbers, quality, competencies, and types of workers needed to achieve current and future business objectives
* Encourage and role model a culture of continuous improvement within the HR department
* Train, coach, influence and guide managers in the development of working practices, working environment and culture
* Develop, roll out and follow up employee engagement initiatives for own area of the business
* Work with Business Leadership in effectively identifying and developing key talent, motivating and encouraging high performers/potential employees
* Safeguard the business ensuring a realistic and up-to-date succession plan is in place for leadership and business critical positions
* Drive the performance culture and talent management focusing at adding value to the business
* Work in collaboration with the COE Leads in the business to develop holistic HR solutions
* Work with OD to support a change ready culture by anticipating barriers and obstacles to change and working to remove them; take the lead in planning and implementing appropriate interventions and change programmes in line with the Company Values
* Ability to develop reward strategies building an awareness of internal/external market factors and data/trends
* Promote feedback mechanisms for employees and managers to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes
* Network with colleagues internally and communities of practice externally to understand current trends an innovation in HR good practice
* Network internally and externally with professional and educational awarding bodies
* Accountable for effective relationships with works councils and/or trade unions
* Travel as and when required
* Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

We are partnered with a global services business. The opportunity can be based in Stavanger, Kristiansand or Oslo

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree Business related subject
* Managing, coaching and developing Teams
* Considerable knowledge of and experience with WC's and/or Trade Unions
* Experience of running and managing employee relations processes and have a strong employment law background
* Experience in a multi-location work environment
* Excellent understanding of HR Policy & Practice and current employment legislation
* Experience of building relationships across all levels and areas of the business along with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and a strong written and spoken communication style.
* Working as part of a team and standalone
* Proven ability to consistently deliver within a fast moving and highly pressurised environment.
* Analyse data to demonstrated intuitive thinking to make the right commercial decisions.
