The Role:
* The Project Instrumentation & Controls Engineer is responsible for managing the delivery of assigned topsides engineering projects in line with Clients management systems.
* The role will provide instrumentation & controls engineering discipline support to the Engineering & Asset Integrity team and business as required, ensuring internal and 3rd party engineering work, completed on behalf of the company, complies with relevant legislation, standards and industry guidance.
* The role will support technical assurance activities within the business by actively participating in the development and adherence of company procedures and performance standards. They will support the TA framework through identification and assessment of process safety risks.

This role has the following responsibilities and outputs

* Provide discipline input to engineering project scope definition and execution.
* Review and acceptance of relevant engineering project deliverables.
* Delivery of work within assigned budgets and identification of cost savings.
* Participates and may Chair the modifications review panel (MRP.
* Management of third party suppliers in the execution of topsides engineering project delivery
* Participate in the preparation and timely review and update of master as-built asset documentation
* Ensure topsides engineering project workscopes follow the relevant clientmanagement procedures.
* Interface with IVB regarding modification verification activities.
* Adhere to and comply with relevant client procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
* Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
* Provide discipline support to the business as assigned by Engineering and Asset Integrity Manager
* Identify business risks and provide input to the business risk register and cumulative risk process.
* Support the TA framework through technical assessment of identified risks or performance standard failures.
* Participate in the development and review of performance standards.
* Carry out relevant offshore activities e.g. technical integrity audits.

Job Specific Skills and Knowledge

* Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Familiar with codes and standards applicable to process engineering such as BS EN ISO 13703, BS EN ISO 61511, API 520, API 521, NORSOK P-002.
* Awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
* Proven track record in project delivery and third party management.
* Experience of asset operations either in an onshore or offshore role
* Experience of EPC work including at concept, FEED and detailed design.
* Membership of / Chartership by a relevant industry body is beneficial but not essential.
* Results-oriented, articulate and persuasive.
* Provide leadership to internal and external resource teams and set realistic schedules as well as meet challenging ones.
