The Role:
The Subsea Engineer, Controls reports to the Subsea Lead and is responsible for ensuring UK Operated Assets subsea control systems operability and integrity is in accordance with management systems. This role is responsible for implementation of the subsea controls integrity strategies and providing support for onshore and offshore operations and other discipline engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities:
This role has the following responsibilities and outputs
* Ensure that the Operated Assets subsea control systems comply with our policies and procedures.
* Implement the subsea controls integrity management system strategies
* Responsible for integrity and maintenance of all subsea control systems.
* Management of control system OEM maintenance contracts and ensuring contractor performance and delivery
* Adherence to integrated planning process for request of work scopes requiring offshore resources and accommodation
* Management of subsea control system drawings and documents
* Management of subsea control system spares
* Reviewing failures associated with control systems / equipment and participate in associated investigations / Root Cause Analysis
* Attendance at HIRA's/Risk assessments
* Give guidance, advice and direction to asset facilities and operational onshore and offshore teams
* Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with key stakeholders
* Provide support for onshore and offshore for planned or unplanned inspection and maintenance interventions using diving and ROV vessels, from work scope development through to execution and close out
* Supports the Engineering & Asset Integrity Manager with the subsea life of field strategy.
* Promote and deliver a continuous improvement way of working, with respect to lessons learned, industry best practice and new / novel technology.
* Provide cost tracking and schedule visibility through lifecycle of subsea controls integrity and operability and for financial processes including budget planning, value of work done and forecasting.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Engineering degree or equivalent
* Good working knowledge of Aker control systems
* Offshore technical experience on DSV
* Offshore technical experience on installation supporting DSVs
* Minimum of 5 years oil and gas experience ideally gained in an operating environment and across a range of subsea functions including operations, controls and projects.
