My Operator Client are looking to recruit a Lead Planner who has experience in setting up Procedures, Standards & Conduction Quality Checks. You will be the Go to Person for Planning Functions.

The Role:
THE OPPORTUNITY - LEAD PLANNER (Projects & Decommissioning)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Planner to join this organisations Projects and Decommissioning team to develop, implement, drives, and continuously improve our Project Planning Process. As the core projects and decommissioning planning role, the successful candidate will ensure consistency, diligence, rigour and industry best practice is applied across all projects and locations, rolling up into programme and portfolio plans, as well as providing support to individual projects when required as part of a project team.

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…

o Develops, applies and drives planning guidelines across the portfolio
o Owns and develops the approved standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for all project types, maintaining alignment with the standard Cost WBS
o As part of a Projects and Decommissioning Governance Framework, carries out peer assists and peer reviews of Integrated Project Control Schedules, and of contractor detailed schedules and progress reports
o Mentors other project planners in PMO across all locations, helps to build a performance management culture in the team, and assures consistency across the portfolio
o Gives guidance to contractors on preparing and issuing plans to company through both the RFQ process, and the project controls section in the contract admin instructions
o Implements standard planning and progress KPIs and productivity measures based on Earned Value and Earned Schedule
o Develops and maintains planning structures in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
o Integrates internal and contractor plans in an Integrated Project Control Schedule, with appropriate focus on interfaces, and ability to efficiently roll up to a Level 1
o Provides Baseline progress S-Curves, aligned with the Baseline Spend Curves, such that Earned Value and Earned Schedule can be rigorously applied
o Improvement to our performance management methods and culture, delivered through integrated project controls, which in turn should increase the predictability of contractor performance, and hence mitigate project and portfolio schedule related risks

ABOUT YOU

o Qualifications / experience in Project Management and Project Controls
o Significant experience and knowledge of Primavera P6, and Primavera Risk is essential
o Significant knowledge and experience of integrated project planning in North Sea E&P Greenfield developments, subsea tie backs, major Brownfield modifications and/or Decommissioning
o Detailed understanding of Project Controls, across Planning, Cost, Risk, MoC, EVM, etc.
o Knowledge of Association of Project Management terminology (APM BoK)
o Open and effective communicator
o Ability to influence others
o Analytical and systematic approach with an eye for detail
o Willingness to share knowledge and proactive approach to day to day working
