The Role:
The role is responsible for managing operations of the assets which has ceased production and leading into decommissioning. The role reports into the decommissioning director and involves integrating all operations and maintenance requirements into the mainstream decommissioning projects and ensuring the smooth takeover of late life assets through the preparatory work for decommissioning and final decommissioning. This role will also act as a duty holder for the asset post cessation of production and will be a key interface between production operations team and decommissioning project managers.

Operations Superintendent - Decommissioning - Your new role responsibilities

* Ensuring that decommissioning operations are executed in accordance with regulatory and safety case requirements.
* Ensuring SHEMS bridging is effectively planned and implemented across multiple contractors in advance of operations.
* Build and maintain an effective working relationship with the Health and Safety Executive ensuring the regulator is regularly updated and supportive of planned activities.
* Contract owner of the maintenance and operations contracts pertaining to decommissioning assets
* Duty holder of the assets post cessation of the production
* Assist Decommissioning Project Managers in budgeting process and cost management of the asset.
* Responsible for operations during the decommissioning lifecycle of the asset.
* Responsible for developing the late life planning and handover process from operations to projects team.
* Assist in the shutdown planning and project planning scope for ABEX projects
* Generates Operations and Maintenance Strategies required during the Pre-Sanction Project Phases on ABEX projects.
* Ensure operations assurance occurs on late life, work-packs are adequate and adhere to the project quality management such as quality control.
* Participate in all ENVID/HAZID/HAZOP and Risk Workshops that occurs through the whole project lifecycle from Evaluate to Close-Out.
* Prepare a process to handover from operations to decommissioning
* Carry out due diligence checks on status of facilities prior to handover to ensure status of facilities are fully understood and operation and maintenance plans are in place to address
* Responsible for providing the project team safe facilities to commence decommissioning activities
* Responsible for maintaining anomalies
* Responsible for maintaining facilities in a safe and operational readiness for decommissioning
* Responsible for ensuring the safety cases are updated and fit for purpose prior to handover
* Identify and manage the rundown of facilities to reduce OPEX






Operations Superintendent - Decommissioning - Required Knowledge & Experience

* Substantial operations experience in managerial position in Oil and Gas
* High level of technical/engineering competence
* Knowledge and experience of project management systems/process/techniques
* Must have strong communication skills and have the ability to review and analyse information effectively. Taking initiative and working autonomously also essential.

* Strong broad technical skills in E&P activities

Education and Certification
* Must possess a valid Basic Offshore Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) certificate
