The Role:
* The Senior Electrical Engineer is a role within the Operations Support Team and as such provides support to both the Offshore and Onshore assets.
* Responsible for monitoring and managing equipment / system performance and ensuring reliable, efficient equipment.
* Responsible for discipline engineering support to the assets / asset maintenance engineers.
* Responsible for Technical Controlling documents.
* Set and review equipment maintenance strategies.
* Collaborate closely with the Technical function.

* Accountable for the delivery and quality of all electrical equipment engineering work (internal & external) for operated assets and projects.
* Accountable for electrical engineering budget, brownfields capex budget, holds asset accountability for ensuring project delivery is as expected against sanctioned business case, and brownfields work plans are integrated into the asset plans and supported by the asset operations teams.
* Accountable for electrical engineering MOC's and resulting modifications; 'customer' for engineering Brownfield modifications projects and responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost, and meet the asset requirement.
* Provides clear direction and assurance to compliance with statutory legislation in respect of Major Accident Hazard management.
* Act as custodian of electrical engineering standards and Asset Engineering documentation and assure their compliance.
* Recommends and delivers electrical improvement initiatives and executes engineering studies on behalf of the asset.
* Provide optimised preventative maintenance programmes for electrical equipment.
* Responsible for equipment performance including spare part management and warranty follow-up.
* Manage relevant support contracts.
* Accountable for ensuring performance standards are accurate and adhered to via the Inspection, Test and Maintenance programme.
* Accountable for assuring regulatory compliance, adhering to standards and implementing industry best practice.
* Act as discipline 'EA2'.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Significant experience in client/operator relationships and in the management of contractors.
* Ability to resolve complex problems in a range of contexts from conceptual design to operational facilities.
* Brings groups of diverse individuals together.
* Challenges, supports and inspires others to achieve their full potential
* Drives innovative solutions and pace.
* Understands overall business strategy and role of equipment performance within strategy.

* Engineering degree
* Professional accredited Engineer
* The job holder must possess extensive knowledge of Engineering technical practices and legislation.
* Considerable relevant experience of the oil and gas industry, predominately gained in an engineering and production operations environment.
* Good working knowledge and application of relevant UK oil and gas industry regulations
* Familiarity with quality process and application of continuous improvement tools is desirable
