The Role:
The primary responsibilities of the role are to support the Treasury team in the provision of accurate and timely cash forecasting and process payments to suppliers; the provision of accurate and timely FX / commodity hedging accounting and reporting; implementation of a robust set of controls around relevant activities; preparation and review of various AP tasks remaining in Aberdeen following the offshoring of the majority of the AP function.

Daily tasks: -
- Download daily multicurrency bank balances from Barclays and ensure firm account balances are mirrored in SAP
- Send daily multicurrency actuals to Group Treasury by 10:30am, providing variance analysis of Actuals vs Forecast and detailing any hedged expenditure/income where required.
- Update hedging cards and attach relevant invoices
- Download variant for clearing accounts in SAP and book/clear income/expenditure journals daily.
- Checking and release of SWIFT files.
- Write-off currency payment Foreign Exchange differences in SAP.
- Regional/International cash-calls to be checked and agreed to forecast
Weekly tasks:
- Check BACS payment reports and process file through Experian
- Consolidate STTF
- Create Oil Hedging forecast
- Create Aberdeen Miscellaneous cash forecast

Monthly Tasks:
- Reconciliations of all bank accounts Barclays & RBS to SAP bank firm, clearing and G/L accounts.
- Ad-hoc CHAPS payments through Barclays Internet Banking. (NET)
- Updating of procedures.
- Monitoring corporate card expenditure and reviewing transactions in SpendTrax
- Creating actuals vs forecast templates for the regions
- Consolidating actuals vs forecast templates from the regions
- Aberdeen Actuals vs Forecast analysis
- ARIS Controls
- Manual revaluation of bank balances
- Completing FX Tracker for Aberdeen and consolidating for the regions
- Posting hedging journals on WD2
- Posting oil swap journals
- Vat Return & Reconciliation

AP tasks will involve:
- Preparation of AP Cash forecast.
- Processing of JV Billings & monitor approval of same.
- Prepare payment proposal for suppliers.
- Preparation of EITI/EUTD reports.

Ad-Hoc tasks will involve:
- Manage Internet banking users/BACS authorisers.
- Bank mandate updates - Barclays
- Provide leadership to Treasury, AP & Cash Assistant.

Essential Skills / Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Experience of treasury & cash activities and/or relevant accounting/financial activities.
- Experience of relevant IT / SAP functionality highly desirable.
- Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification preferable.
- Oil and Gas experience preferred.

- Good communication skills and an ability to build effective working relationships across the business
- Strong organisational skill
- Ability to analyse and summarise effectively large amounts of data
- Willingness to take on new initiatives and challenge the status quo
