The Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator on an initial 12 month contract, potentially either Perth based, Bunbury based or DIDO from Perth.

The Senior Contracts Administrator is a key member of the project contracts / commercial team. They are responsible for assisting line manager to manage of all contractual / commercial matters (including finance, legal, tax and contractual) on the project including subcontracts. They will work under direction of the line manager to manage and administer the head-contract and/or subcontracts to ensure they comply with Company policies and procedures and meet the commercial needs of the Company and its stakeholders.

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

* Administer the project supply chain function in the establishment and ongoing management of subcontracts
* Provide support to the line manager for all legal and contractual matters
* Administer all commercial aspects of the head-contract and/or subcontracts
* Administer the commercial risk and opportunities
* Administer the insurance programme
* Administer tax matters with internal tax advisors
* Administer status reporting of contractual matters
* Administer key Company commercial and corporate policies (such as code of business conduct, supply chain policies, commercial policies)
* Any other commercial tasks as directed by the line manager or functional manager

Our client is a robust and focused supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world's oil and gas, minerals and metals, green energy, environment and infrastructure markets. Their Australian business is undergoing an exciting growth phase which will see them expand their portfolio with both greenfield and brownfield projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

* Diploma or tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, Finance, Business or similar
* Reasonable level of commercial and contractual awareness, in particular with EPCM or EPC contract delivery models
* Extensive commercial experience in industrial construction projects (mining or oil & gas) for an engineering or construction company
* Experience working within a commercial team
* Good contract negotiation skills
* An ability to listen and identify key issues and to communicate complex information clearly
* Understanding and awareness of legislative obligations relating to contracts administration and management
* Able to read, understand and advise on contractual terms, conditions and clauses.
* Understanding of project accounting reporting requirements and variance analysis
* Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (in particular, Excel)
* Understanding of Oracle, SAP or similar financial systems
* Experience in Project Control systems
