The Role:
Work in a dynamic and collaborative team to replace the existing Operational Data Storage System (ODSS) platform. The current ODSS is a bespoke ecosystem that was developed to maintain and report on the ongoing quality standards, and volume license agreements that meet and exceed Regulatory and Community expectations. ODSS has iteratively grown over recent decades to a cluster of 18 applications; and with technology having significantly changed over 25 years, this bespoke ecosystem is obsolete with a significantly diminished maintenance and support capability.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of well-defined and high-quality Business Analysis artefacts such as Current State Processes, Future State Processes, Detailed Functional/Non-Functional Specifications, Use Case Diagrams and other related Business Analysis artefacts to support a large-scale and complex project.
  • Utilise BPMN modelling techniques for meeting assigned objectives
  • Models current and desired scenarios / workflows as directed by the Lead Business Analyst
  • Identify issues, risks and streamlining opportunities with current processes
  • Work with other Business Analysts to ensure alignment and traceability of process models and requirements
  • Assists Lead Business Analyst and Senior Business Analyst where required
  • Support the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence by complying with and contributing to best practice methodologies and processes

Our Client is a leading Government owned utilities company with assets across Western Australia. Their main objective is to provide sustainable management across various services.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or IT
  • 5+ years' experience as a Business/Process Analyst
  • Strong ability to facilitate workshops, interviews, observations across all levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience with process elicitation, modelling, validation and documentation
  • Demonstrated process modelling experience with BPMN
  • Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration and presentation skills
  • Strong conceptual analytical skills in problem solving
  • Strong ability to prioritise own work to achieve tight deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project lifecycle experience in Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile projects

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

  • Government sector experience
  • BPMN-Certified
  • BABOK-certified
  • Experience with using Business Process Management Systems such as HOPEX
