The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Specialist to join a WA state owned water organisation. This company is the principal supplier of water, wastewater and drainage services in Western Australia, running some of states largest major capitol projects at present.
The main function of the Commissioning Specialist is to facilitate and manage the commissioning aspects of various major capital projects in all areas of Western Australia. Reporting to the asset delivery manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivered assets are tested to meet the cormpanies required performance specifications and quality standards. You will also manage the process of integrating the new assets into the companies existing and extensive operating systems.

Main responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
Preparing commissioning plans for each assigned project
Development of asset commissioning strategies and procedures to prove functional specifications and design criterion
Overseeing the team commissioning each assigned project
Reporting commissioning results and input to the ongoing development of the companies commissioning guidelines and processes

This role will suit a commissioning professional who has a background in process operations. Familiarity with large scale pumping systems, chemical dosing systems and knowledge of SCADA and process control will be an advantage.

Our Client is a leading Government owned utilities company with assets across Western Australia. Their main objective is to provide sustainable management across various services.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have completed a tertiary level qualification in engineering (or related discipline), and/or have substantial asset operations, maintenance or commissioning experience in utility or capital intensive industry. Considerable experience in the commissioning of major assets will be seen favourably.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The role will need well developed written and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and a sound knowledge of industrial statutory and regulatory requirements will be an advantage.
