The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Manager - People and Culture to join their Human Resources team on a 6 months contract. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for people capability, through building a high-performing, engaged workforce and developing employees through innovative people management practises.

What the role will offer:

* Coach and provide advice to Managers in relation to case management
* Provide advice on technical aspects of investigations and advise on appropriate outcomes of investigations
* Lead the development of written submission responses for employee claims related to equal employment opportunity, unfair dismissal, unlawful termination and adverse action
* Contribute to the business unit strategy by helping the leadership team identify, prioritise and build organisational behaviours, structures and processes
* Manage specific HR projects as determined, and drive cultural change and efficiency reforms.
* Support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline and workforce planning requirements, in line with the function/ business strategy.
* Contribute to constructive culture in the team by demonstrating, modelling, and utilising appropriate leadership behaviour, symbols and systems.
* Improve the performance of direct reports through coaching, mentoring, training, instruction, advice, and direct example
* Develop and map the business training needs, report on training delivery including competency assessments
* Support the internal communication strategies and plans and coordinate the routine meeting forums ensuring meeting effectiveness

Our Client is a leading Government owned utilities company with assets across Western Australia. Their main objective is to provide sustainable management across various services.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Extensive IR and HR Management experience in a complex public or private sector organisation within a capital intensive industry e.g. mining, manufacturing and construction.
* Demonstrated experience in HR and, in particular, IR in unionised and sensitive environments.
* Degree level qualifications in HR, IR or an equivalent discipline.
* Significant experience in managing performance
* Demonstrated success in achieving cultural change through the implementation of structures change programs.
* Ability to undertake investigative research to obtain, clarify and validate information
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
